Arnold (Butch) Ellsworth, 76, of Onaway died at his home on May 7, 2019, surrounded by family.
Butch was born to Raymond and Ellen (Adams) Ellsworth in Lewiston, Idaho. He attended schools in Lewiston and Potlatch, then later served in the US Navy.
Butch and Mary (Pollock) were married in Lewiston on July 19, 1963. The couple started their home in Lewiston, Idaho and later moved to Onaway in the Fall of 1964 where they raised their three children.
He worked at Potlatch Corp. for 20 years, then worked for various construction companies driving dump truck when he retired from Motley & Motley in 2005.
Butch enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, ATV riding, cutting firewood, and listening to old country music with family and friends. The couple spent winters in Arizona for over 10 years.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years at the family home, Mary (Pollock) Ellsworth; two daughters, Debbie (Mike) Hash, and Cheri (Jim) Shepherd; one son, Kent (Renee) Ellsworth; two brothers, Pete (Katherina) Ellsworth, and Raymond Jr. (Lana) Ellsworth; one sister, Jacki (Larry) Turner; six grandchildren, Kendra (Shaun) Cochrane, Katie (Travis Winther) Hash, Kiley Hash, Sara (Jamie) McGreal, Dustin (Emmy) Shepherd, Delainee Ellsworth; 8 great grandchildren, Brock, Brody, Bryce, Kinsley, Maverick, Aria, Lyla, and Penny.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm, Tuesday May 14, at Princeton Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Kathy Kramer officiating. A potluck to follow. His ashes will be buried at Mendenhall Cemetery at a later date.
