ELLEN W. (WILKENS) McWILLIAMS

Ellen W. McWilliams, 89, a resident of Potlatch, ID passed away on December 31, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society-Moscow Village in Moscow, ID surrounded by her family.

Ellen was born on Oct. 17, 1929 at West New York, New Jersey to Frederick and Lillian (Stiles) Wilkens.  She attended her schooling in New Jersey and graduated from the Cliffside Park High School in 1946.

After high school, Ellen was selected for a job as a secretary for a travel company at Rockefeller Center in New York City and worked there for several years.

Ellen married M. A. McWilliams on Nov. 20, 1948 at Bergenfield, New Jersey.

The couple moved to Potlatch, ID in 1985.  Mr. McWilliams died in 1988.

Ellen was a homemaker most of her life.  She was involved with the Potlatch Senior meals at Potlatch for several years and worked at the Potlatch library for several years.

She was a member of the Grace Community Church at Potlatch, ID, Order of the Eastern Star, Potlatch Chapter, Potlatch senior citizens and a member of the Gritman Hospital Aux.,   She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and reading.

Survivors include one son, Thomas McWilliams, Potlatch, ID.  She was preceded in death by her husband and one son Robert McWilliams.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at the Grace Community Church, Potlatch, ID with Rev. Larry Veith officiating.  Burial will follow at the Moscow Cemetery, Moscow, ID.
