Frank P. Walker, 76, a resident of Viola, ID passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at his Viola home.
Frank was born on March 9, 1943 at Potlatch, ID to Walter and Velda (Starner) Walker. He attended the Potlatch schools and graduated from the Potlatch High School in 1961.
He started farming at an early age working for Hugo Walser for 12 years. He started farming on his own and raised cattle on the Walker land from 1972 until he retired in 1990.
Frank started working at the University of Idaho at the Vets science farm and retired in 2005 after 15 years of service to the University.
He married Dorris (King) Landauer on Sept. 29, 2000 at Potlatch, ID and the couple made their home at Viola, ID where they raised cattle.
Frank was a member of the Potlatch Lions Club and served two terms as Zone Chairman, member of the NRA, 40 year member of the Latah County Soil Conservation District and served on the board of directors for several years and a member of the Kennedy Ford Grange.
He is survived by his wife Dorris Walker at the Viola home, two step-sons, Murray Landauer, Chehalis, WA, Tom Tessman, Newberg, OR, three step-daughters, Carol Tessman, Newberg, OR, Deana Tessman, Driggs, ID, Shari Tessman, Spokane, WA, two nephews, Dean Walker, Moscow, ID, Jim Walker, Rathdrum, ID. Frank is also survived by 9 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at the Church of the Nazarene, Princeton, ID with Pastor Kathy Kramer and Ken Stinson officiating. Urn burial will be at the Freeze Cemetery, Potlatch, ID.
Memorial may be given to the Potlatch Ambulance Fund, Box 63, Potlatch, ID 83855.
