Isla P. Thompson, 85, passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at Memory Villas at Bishop Place in Pullman, WA where she resided for the past year.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1933 at Palouse, WA to Brace and Ethel (Wiley) Maryott. She attended the Palouse Schools graduating Valedictorian of her class in 1951. She later attended Kinman Business College in Spokane for one year.
She married Bob Thompson on March 9, 1952 at Palouse, WA and the couple traveled quite extensively as Bob was in the Navy. After his retirement the couple made their home at Oak Harbor, WA and to Rathdrum, ID. Mr. Thompson died in 2014.
Isla moved to Whitman senior living In Pullman, WA in 2014 and later to Memory Villas at Bishop Place.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She enjoyed Western line dancing, cake decorating, and canvas art stitch.
Mrs. Thompson urn will be buried with her husband Bob at the Greenwood Cemetery, Palouse, WA on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 2:00 P.M.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Thompson, Palouse, WA, Linda Thompson, Pullman, WA. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Karin Kibler and Scott Kibler.
Memorials may be given to Alzheimer’s research.
