JEANETTE L. (ODELIN) ROGERS

July 6, 1952 ~ November 23, 2017 (age 65)

Jeanette L. Rogers, 65, a resident of Princeton, ID passed away on Nov. 23, 2017 at the Good Hope Adult Family Home at Pullman, WA. 

Jeanette was born on July 6, 1952 at Moscow, ID to Bernard and Dorothy (Ackerman) Odelin.  Jeanette attended the Potlatch Schools and graduated from the Potlatch High School in 1970.  She attended the University of Idaho and received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics.  She also received her Master’s Degree in Education.  Jeanette continued education all her life. 

Jeanette was employed by the Potlatch School District in 1977 and was a substitute teacher and also was the Librarian at Potlatch High School.

She married Albert Rogers on May 31, 1975 at Potlatch, ID and the couple made their home at Princeton, ID.  Mr. Rogers owned and operated the Princeton Tavern since 1977.  Mr. Rogers died Aug. 10, 2005.  Jeanette later retired in 2014 after 37 years of service.

Jeanette being in education all her life she loved children.  She also enjoy knitting, crocheting and embroidery.

Jeanette later was a companion to Gary Kampster for about 7 years and his daughter Kasey who was very important to her.  Mr. Kampster died in July of 2017.

Jeanette moved to the Good Hope Adult Family Home in Pullman, WA where she died from a 6 month battle with cancer.

She is survived by two sisters, Molly Best (Terry) and Deanna Mitchell both of Post Falls, ID.

At Jeanette’s request there will be no formal services held.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the Potlatch Ambulance Fund, Box 63, Potlatch, ID   83855.
