LORENE M (TAYLOR) WHEATLEY

Lorene M. Wheatley, 81, a resident of Potlatch, ID passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Aspen Park of Cascadia in Moscow, ID.

Lorene was born on February 27, 1937 at Liberty, Missouri to Everett and Ruth (Swallow) Taylor.  She attended her schooling at Liberty, Missouri. 

She moved to Los Angeles, CA area.  She married Donald Wheatley in California and the couple moved to Potlatch, ID in 1968.  The couple later divorced.

Lorene worked at local nursing homes in Moscow, ID as a Certified Nurse’s assistant until she retired in 1994.  She continued to live at Potlatch until she moved to Aspen Park in April of 2018.

Lorene enjoyed gardening, reading books and bird watching.

Survivors include three sons, Harold Gutscher, Jr. (Lori), Jacksonville, Florida, Victor Gutscher (KD), Princeton, ID, and Donald (Loriann) Wheatley, Potlatch, ID.  She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Judy Lipps, Amanda Gutscher, Spokane, WA, Ashton Bowers (Johnnie), Lewiston, ID, and Kenneth Wheatley, Moscow, ID, one step granddaughter, Sarah Paige Gutscher, three greatgrandchildren, Jaxson, Mikinzie, and Madison Parkers.  She was preceded in death by a daughter Margaret Lipps.   

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018, 10:30 A.M. at the Rock Creek Cemetery, Potlatch, ID with Rev. Lee Nicholson officiating.
