Such a sweet lady. She always made time to talk to me when I was a kid attending the Elmore church. She could relate to anyone and everyone.

So sorry to see that Velma has passed. She and my mom Alieene Yates Curtis grew up together in the Cora area, were schoolmates at Mountain Home School, and were lifelong friends. They were one class apart. When my mother passed in 2010, Velma gave me a picture of their school as it looked when they were kids. Such a sweet gesture (she must have know that we had no photos from my mothers childhood). She was always a good friend to mom and a wonderful lady who will be missed.

Your Mom Velma was one of my first friends in Idaho. She was a very welcoming lady. I liked going to the Elmore UMC church for United Methodist Women. My prayers are with family. We moved to the City of Palouse in 2000. We love the area.
