She met Ezra Prentice Clark at a dance and they were married January 28, 1950 in Toombs County, Georgia.  In 1951, while living in Vidalia, Georgia, their daughter Yvonne was born.  The family then moved to Savannah where their second daughter, Jan was born.  In 1956 they made the move out West by train, and lived in Clarkston, Washington.   Soon after, they welcomed the birth of their son, Dale.  Alice taught elementary education in both Georgia and Idaho.  The majority of her teaching career took place in Bovill, teaching 4th grade.  She loved her students and they loved her.

After 28 years of teaching, Alice and Ezra moved to Moscow, Idaho where she worked in food service at the University of Idaho until she retired.  Her religious faith was a very important part of her life.  She was an active member at the Calvary Christian Center in Pullman, Washington, up until her dementia prevented her from attending.  She entered Bishop Place in 2009 and lived there until her death.
