A graveside memorial service for Beverly Jean Hattan, 64, will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Freeze Cemetery north of Potlatch, Idaho with Pastor Kathy Kramer officiating. Urn burial will follow the service. A gathering and potluck luncheon will follow at the Scenic 6 Park at Potlatch.
Beverly was born on August 1, 1954 at Moscow, ID to Arnold and Geneal (Hansen) Bircher. She attended the Potlatch schools and graduated from the Potlatch High School in 1972. She later attended a business school in Spokane.
Beverly started working at the University of Idaho at Moscow as a secretary in the engineering department. She made her home in Moscow, ID.
She married Richard Hattan on Nov. 4, 1988 at Lewiston, ID. The couple moved to the Union Flat Road south of Pullman, WA. where they made their home. Beverly then started working for Washington State University as a secretary in the Zoology department. She retired due to health reasons in 2004.
Beverly enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, drag races, gardening, picking huckleberries and crocheting Afghans.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years Richard Hattan, Pullman, WA, her son, Brian Hattan, Spokane, WA, and her sister, Barbara Raney, Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Jerry Bircher.
Memorials may be given to Light A Candle, % Gritman Medical Center, 700 S. Main, Moscow, ID, or to the Whitman County Fire District #11 in Colton, WA or District #12 in Pullman, WA.
