A memorial service for Robert “Bob” Jones, 85, will be held on January 13, 2018, 1:00 P.M. at the Garfield Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Phil Weagraff officiating.  Mr. Jones passed away on Dec. 29, 2017 at his Garfield, WA home.

He was born on May 1, 1932 at Seattle, WA to John and Marguerite (Colvin) Jones. Bob attended and graduated from the South Kitsap High School in 1953.

He married Cora Jean Hawkins and the couple later divorced.

He married Tammie Erickson on October 20, 1994 at Garfield, WA and the couple made their home at Garfield, WA.

Mr. Jones owned and operated R.C.J. Trucking in Garfield, WA starting the business in the 1970’s until he retired in 2012.

He was a member of AA and celebrated 26 years of Sobriety.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years Tammie Erickson at the Garfield home, two sons Alvin Hawkins, Portland, OR, Timothy Jones, Tigard, OR, two daughters, Cara “Dede” McMurphy, Holroye, OR.,  Malynda Mercado, Portland, OR., one brother, Edwin (Margaret) Jones, Grapeview, WA., one sister, Myfanwy Moore, Seattle, WA.  Bob is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one son Andrew Jones.
