Amelia Anna (Sanaia) Turk, 91, passed into eternal life on Oct. 16, 2023 at the Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, ID.

She was born on April 21, 1932 at Potlatch, ID to Joseph (Guiseppe) and Teresa (Marcon) Sanaia.  She lived her life in Onaway, ID attending the Potlatch Schools and graduated from the Potlatch High School in 1950.  She later attended the Kinman Business College in Spokane, WA to become an accountant.

Amelia started working at the Potlatch Mercantile as a cashier.  She later worked as an accountant for the WI&M railroad and at Washington State University until she retired.

She met the love of her life Donald Turk of Moscow and the couple married on Jan. 22, 1977 at Moscow, ID and the couple made their home at Moscow, ID.

Amelia was a lifelong communicate of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Potlatch and Moscow, ID.  She served as a greeter and Eucharistic Minister for several years.

She enjoyed reading and raising flowers in her yard.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years Donald Turk, Moscow, ID

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 618 E. 1st Street, Moscow, ID with Rosary to be recited at 10:30 A.M. at the Church.  Burial will follow at the Moscow Cemetery, Moscow, ID.

Memorial may be given to the Humane Society, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Moscow or St. Mary’s Catholic Elementary School, 412 N. Monroe St., Moscow, ID  83843.
