Obituary for Aubree Jean Garcia 

Aubree Jean Garcia (5) made her peaceful journey home on July 19, 2023, with her family by her bedside. 

Aubree Jean was born to Kevin and Maria on November 03, 2017 but this was far from the start of her life journey. At just 10 weeks along in her pregnancy Maria went in for an ordinary, or so she thought, obgyn appointment. This turned out to be no ordinary visit, after what seemed like forever after getting her ultrasound done with her sister Celine by her side, the doctor finally entered the room. The doctor proceeded to tell Maria that an abnormality was discovered during her ultrasound visit. The ultrasound findings revealed that the baby had abnormalities in the brain and was told the likely hood of survival or anything close to a “normal” life would be slim. 

After receiving this devastating news Maria and Kevin were faced with a difficult decision on whether or not to continue on with the pregnancy. With termination out of the question the decision was made to leave it all to God. After many, many weekly doctors’ appointments, Aubree Jean Garcia made her way into the world on November 03,2017. From the moment she was born she was a fighter. Previously we were told that Aubree would need to spend several months in the neonatal intensive care unit but after only 5 days in the nicu Aubree was discharged and was welcomed home by her sister and brother Hannah and Silas Garcia and many more family members. 

After being born Aubree  Jean was diagnosed with several different conditions including cerebral palsy, 5 different malformations of the brain, daily seizures, severe scoliosis, hip dysplasia, and being born completely blind. In the beginning we where initially told that the chances of Aubree living past her first birthday would be extremely rare. Despite her condition her family was determined to make sure Aubree would have the best life possible and did absolutely everything to insure that. 

Every year Aubree got to enjoy being surrounded by family and friends doing the things she loved to do including camping up the st. joe river every summer, listening to the total chaos of her siblings and close cousins on a daily bases, listening to her papas Mexican music, and even going to work with her mom and grammy at BnS smoke shop in Worley Idaho. Aubree definitely let you know when she didn’t like something as well, such as, her mom combing and fixing her hair daily, being any type of hot or in the sun, and being in a car going anywhere, or even having her teeth brushed.  

No matter where she was or who she was with her smile would brighten up anyone’s day. Her uniqueness and presence brought so much joy to everyone’s life’s that got the privilege of meet her. To say she will be missed doesn’t even come close to describing how empty we will all feel without her here with us. But as her family we know she’s in heaven doing all the things she couldn’t physically do down here on earth. She is running, playing and seeing everything for the first time. Until we see each other again our pretty girl we all love you and talk about you every day. 

Aubree Jean is survived by her parents Maria and Kevin Garcia of Plummer, Idaho. Her siblings Hannah, Silas and Ember Garcia. Her aunties Celine and Shawna. Her unlce tio’s Cheeno, and Seth Garcia. Her grandparents, Sharon and Alfredo Garcia, Deanna and Justin Rickert, and Ricardo Garcia. Her Godparents Francis Davison and Savannah Khan. Her close cousins Eliyana, Zeniyah, Sophia, Shawn, Willow, Khaleesi and Jonah. And all the rest of her family and friends.
