Cheryle “Cheri” Curtis, 83, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, in Garfield, Washington. Born on March 10, 1942, in Wenatchee, she remained a lifelong resident of Washington.
For over four decades, Cheryle owned and operated a local restaurant, where her warm hospitality and unwavering dedication made her a cherished presence among generations of patrons. Her establishment became a beloved gathering place and a cornerstone of the community.
In addition to her work in hospitality, Cheryle served as mayor of her town. Her leadership was marked by the same commitment and care she brought to every endeavor, reflecting her deep investment in the well-being and progress of those around her. Faith played a central role in Cheryle’s life. She was a devoted member of Garfield Christian Church, where she found strength and fellowship throughout the years.
Cheryle was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil (Bub) Curtis, and her son Clifford Curtis. She is survived by her son Gary Curtis his wife Carol, Clifford’s widow Dina Curtis-Triliegi, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Her legacy endures through the lives she touched with her kindness, service, and steadfast devotion to both family and community. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
