She was born in Moscow, Idaho on December 18, 1934, and went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2023. She loved spending her time between Tampa, Florida and Seattle, Washington. She is survived by two daughters, Camille Starks (Marion) and Alicia Giattino, her grandchildren, Nicholas Becker (Denise), Adria Giattino Johnson, Spenser Wolz (Allison), K’cey Johnson (Demi), Andy Giattino and Brian Giattino. Also, other joys in her life, Dixie Kisner, and Charles Kisner. She will also be greatly missed by all of her great grandchildren.
Her greatest joy was playing with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. It was not unusual to see her out in the street riding one of her grandchildren’s bikes or sitting on the floor and playing games such as Candy Land or Chutes & Ladders. They would call and ask Grandma to come outside to play! She enjoyed teaching sewing, making doll clothes, embroidery and crochet her washcloths that everyone loved! She loved the People magazine crossword puzzles and keeping up to date daily with the world news.
She is preceded in death by Archie and Alice Kinman (parents), Ardella Elkins (sister), John F. Giattino Sr. (husband), John F. Giattino Jr. (son) and Joseph Becker (grandson).
She was such a joy, full of laughter, kindness, and such a giving soul! We miss her immensely.
We will be having the burial on September 16th at 2:00 pm at Mendenhall Cemetery in Potlatch, Idaho for Doris and her sister, Ardella followed by a celebration of life at Palouse Brewing Company in Palouse, Washington.
