DWANNA LEA (NAGLE) ANDRES

Dwanna Lea Andres, 86, of Onaway, Idaho, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

Dwanna was born on September 8, 1937, to Rex and Helen Nagle in Palouse, Washington. She had four siblings, Toni, Dean, Janice, and Gary.

 Dwanna married Jerald J. Andres on June 14, 1958. They lived in their Onaway home for 46 years together and raised their six children: Kim, Kathy, Tom, Leslie (Annie), Darin, and Shaun (Brady).

Dwanna worked at Harvest Foods in Potlatch as a grocery clerk and showed up faithfully for 36 years until the pandemic obligated her retirement.

Her greatest interest in life was that of her family and she was cherished by every member of it. Dwanna and Jerry held family Christmas at their Onaway home until the family grew so large there was not enough space to host. She continued to give Christmas gifts to each member of the family until Christmas 2023. She and Jerry loved to give. There was never a short supply of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, salsa, or pickles and the snack drawer was always stocked. You left their home with a full heart and a full belly and often, a tidbit of wisdom.

Dwanna is preceded in death by 3 of her siblings Dean Nagle, Janice Gillis, and Gary Nagle. Her daughter Leslie (Jim) Brown also preceded her in death. Dwanna is survived by her husband Jerry Andres, her sister Toni (Don) Ball, her children Kim (Jeff) Scoggin, Tom (Tomi) Andres, Kathy (Steve Halen) Workman, Darin (Tami) Andres, Brady (Linda Hudson) Andres. She had 16 grandchildren 31 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren..

It was Dwanna’s request that no service be held. Donations in memory of Dwanna can be made to the Potlatch Elementary Care Closet, 510 Elm Street, Potlatch, Idaho.  83855
