Emily Marie Hunt, 44, a resident of Onaway, ID passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Maple Valley, WA on May 14, 2023.

Emily was born on Sept. 8, 1978 to Dale and Verna Wight of St. Maries, ID.  She attended and graduated from the Kootenai JR/SR High School. She later went on to study phlebotomy and E.M.T training.

She married Mark Hunt on Feb. 1, 2001 in Coeur d’Alene, ID and the couple made their home in Onaway, ID.  Emily worked throughout the years for the Potlatch Mill in St. Maries, ID, the Potlatch School district as a janitor, the Pullman Regional Hospital & Palouse Medical as a phlebotomist, and later became an in home caregiver to clients on the Palouse. She served as a Potlatch School Board member and served as an E.M. T. in Potlatch, ID.  

Emily enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, huckleberry and mushroom picking, traveling, cooking, baking, 4 – wheeling, and loved the farm life.

She is survived by her husband Mark Hunt, two sons: Jeremy and Dylan Hunt of Onaway, ID. Her father Dale Wight of St. Maries, ID. Her mother Verna Wight. As well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on July 8, 2023 at the Princeton Community Center in Princeton, ID at 10:00 A.M. The family invites those who would like to celebrate Emily to join them for a brunch potluck.
