IRIS EILEEN WELCH

Iris E Welch was born in Bergland, Michigan April 2nd, 1933. She grew up with many siblings and happy times. After moving to Idaho, she became involved with her new community and opened a restaurant in Deary, Idaho called Iris' Café.  She would take meals out to farm workers knowing they couldn’t make it into town to get lunch. Iris also had a knack for photography. She loved taking pictures of friends, family, beloved pets, and landscapes. Iris loved spending time with family and friends.

Iris passed away surrounded by loved ones November 14th, 2025, at her home in Deary, Idaho.

A memorial service for Iris will be held on December 6th at 1pm officiated by Murry Stanton at Zion Lutheran Church, 302 Idaho St., Deary, Idaho. Reception will follow. She is survived by her brother Neil Hamilton, sister Joyce Hamilton, son Bill Whybark, daughters Janie Johnston and Ramona Whybark, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
