JACK EUGENE HEWES JR.

Jack Eugene Hewes, Jr., beloved husband and father, passed away at his home in Palouse, WA at the age of 76 on April 19, 2024. Jack was born November 16, 1947 in California. He was married to Mary Lee Hirsch from 1971 until his death. After living in California, they made their way to the Pacific Northwest in 1976. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Jack E. Hewes, Sr. and Helen I. Thompson. With his wife, Mary, Jack has two sons, Nick and Jesse, along with Jesse’s wife Megan and their two sons, Carter and Henry Hewes. Jack also leaves behind a brother, Wendall Hewes, his wife Beth, and their two daughters, Jennifer and Amanda.

Jack worked for Bagott Motors in Palouse WA for 20+ years. Jack could fix anything he set his mind to from repairing vacuum cleaners to repairing computers. He became a self-taught computer geek as well, while living in Palouse. Jack loved and had all kinds of animals both wild and domesticated. His last special friend and companion was his and Mary’s dog Bindi, who never left Jack’s side.

Graveside service for Jack will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery, 3:00 P.M. in Palouse, WA on June 8, 2024.
