Jean Catherine Larsen, 81, of Potlatch, Idaho, passed away on November 10, 2023 from bone cancer. She was born on October 27, 1942, in Laidley, Queensland, Australia, to the late William and Catherine McLeary.
Jean was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Klinkefus, in November 1982, and her second husband, Robert Larsen, in June 2016.
Jean was an avid lover of Jesus and was his servant in many ways. She was a constant volunteer at the Potlatch Clothes Closet, held a rummage sale every year to help raise money for children to attend church camps, and was a regular volunteer at the Sharing Tree Rummage sale at Grace Community Church.
She was mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She had many titles, but her favorite role was being a mom and grandma. Jean had a passion for finding hidden treasures and loved attending yard sales and clearance sales.
Jean also enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and traveling. In 2017, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of visiting her mother's grave in Australia, and in 2019, she had the opportunity to visit her brother in Scotland.
Jean is survived by her children, Catherine (Rodger) Nowack, Allan (Cathy) Klinkefus, Susan (Dwight) Renz, and William Klinkefus. She leaves behind a legacy of love and is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 25, at 10 am at Elmore Church in Potlatch, Idaho. Following the service, a meal will be provided. Contributions in Jean's memory may be made to the Elmore Church Camp Scholarship fund.
The Kramer Funeral Home, located in Palouse, Washington, is honored to assist the family with all arrangements.
