JERALD ANDRES Obituary

Jerald Joseph Andres passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026 at the age of 89. Jerry was born to Carl J. Andres and Elizabeth R. Kilborn Andres on July 11, 1936.  He was the youngest of four siblings.

Jerry grew up in Potlatch and attended schools there. Jerry married Dwanna Nagle June 14, 1958. Together they raised six children, Kim, Kathy, Tom, Leslie (Annie), Darin and Shaun (Brady) in their Onaway home.

Jerry and his father, Carl, owned and operated C & J Lounge for several years. Over his lifetime, Jerry worked numerous jobs. He and Dwanna always provided well for their family. They were conscious of those in need and gave generously. One memory is of Jerry collecting, cleaning and distributing clothes to residents of the care facility where he worked to enable the residents to dress up for a dance party.

Jerry enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. With their kids they spent many outings in the Elk River Basin area.

Jerry was always in motion attending his kids’ and grandkids’ many school, sporting events and community activities. After retirement, Jerry and Dwanna traveled and visited casinos.

In late June of 2023, Jerry and Dwanna sold their home in Onaway, then moved to an apartment on Kathy and Steve’s property near Helmer. Jerry was eager to help and interested in all of Steve’s projects at his shop.

When Dwanna died in June 2024, Jerry was heartbroken, missing her every day. With every ounce of his being Jerry loved his children and looked forward to their visits.

Jerry was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, his parents, siblings Barbara Lande, Donna Beplate Anderson, Tom Andres, and his beloved daughter Leslie "Annie" Brown.

Survivors include children Kim (Jeff) Scoggin, Kathy (Steve), Tom (Tomi) Andres, Darin (Tami) Andres, and Brady (Linda) Andres, Son-in-law Jim Brown, Sixteen grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren.

A private Celebration of Life is planned for a later date. Jerry and his dog, Koda, his best friend and companion, have been released to reunite with Dwanna and Annie.
