Larry D. Bruce, 82, a resident of Harvard, ID passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at the Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, ID.
Larry was born on June 14, 1937 at Tekoa, WA to William and Thelma (Anderson) Bruce. He attended his schooling at Farmington, WA.
Larry served in the United States Army.
He married Marthene F. Maycroft on Sept. 1, 1956 at Coeur d’Alene, ID and the couple made their home at Harvard, ID.
Larry was employed at Bennett Lumber until he retired in 2000. Shortly after retirement he started driving logging truck, a job he truly loved. He drove truck for both Bill Lowry and Steve Normington. Larry had truly respected both men.
Larry enjoyed chasing Alaskan Salmon and traveling with his life partner Marty.
Survivors include his Wife Marthene “Marty” at the Harvard, ID home, two daughters, Joy Brust, Princeton, ID, Bonnie Shoemaker (Albert) Albion, WA, one brother, Darrell Bruce, Potlatch, ID, one sister, Barbara Christianson, Wenatchee, WA. Larry is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and one great – great grandson. He was preceded in death by one son, James Lewis Bruce.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the HooDoo Beer Garden at Harvard, Idaho with Military Honor provided by the United States Honor Guard and the Potlatch Post # 103000 Participating.
