MAVIS DITTBERNER Obituary

Dittberner, Mavis Lebo, 90, was born to Norman and Ione Lebo in Bowman North Dakota on May 26, 1935. She was the second eldest of four children. Mavis moved with her family in August of 1941 to Tekoa, WA at six years old. She spent all her school years in Tekoa, graduating from Tekoa High School in 1953. Mavis married her high school sweetheart David Dittberner on July 10, 1955, and they moved to Spokane in 1959. In 1963, they added son Dan to the family and in 1965, Pam came along. Mavis always wanted to be a mom and was so happy to add to their family. Mavis worked at several travel agencies over a 25-year period and loved to travel and see new things. One of her favorite destinations was Hawaii. She enjoyed camping with her family and the Spokane muzzle-loader club during their rendezvous events. She really enjoyed square dancing at the Northside dance hall with the Model T’s and volunteered with those friends for any activity that made money for their club. Mavis also volunteered often at the Guild school, now Joya. Mavis played pinochle in various groups over the years and enjoyed that time with her friends. She was an avid Zags fan and was an amazing cook, often hosting holiday dinners for family. Mavis passed away on October 14, 2025, and was proceeded in death by her husband of 69 years, David Dittberner and her siblings Allen and Lavone Lebo. She is survived by son Dan of Sherrill’s Ford, NC (Christen), daughter Pam of Everett, (Cecil), granddaughter Dakota, sister Loraine Orness, sister-in-law Mikey Lebo and numerous nieces and nephews.
