Michael FARRELLY Obituary
Passed away January 28, 2025, in Spokane, WA. A resident of Latah, WA. He was born August 21, 1939, in Spokane, WA, to Elmo and Irene (Martin) Farrelly. He attended schools in Latah through the 11th grade and graduated from Freeman High School in 1959. Michael married Sue Miller on October 1, 1960, in Rockford, WA, and the couple made their home at Latah, except for three years that they made their home in Cheney. Mr. Farrelly worked as a warehouseman and had worked in Garfield, Oakesdale, Fairfield, WA, and Latah, WA, in the Pea and Lentil elevators. He retired in 1996. Michael served as Fire Chief in Latah for over 30 years, trained firemen, and served as an E.M.T. for several years. He had served on the Latah City Council and was instrumental in bringing new water lines into town. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing; he was a jack-of-all-trades. He was a member of the Latah Country Bible Church and served as an elder of the church for several years. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sue Farrelly at Latah, WA; a son, David at Walla Walla, WA; daughters, Nancy Conley and Brenda Cordova, both of Latah; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Timothy Farrelly; two brothers, Marvin Davis and Levi Davis; and a sister, Colleen Groenvelv. Kramer Funeral Home, Palouse, WA is caring for the family. Funeral service will be held at the Latah Country Bible Church in Latah on February 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Mark Mewhinney officiating. An Urn Burial service will be at the Latah City Cemetery in Latah at a later date. Viewing will be held at Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse on February 1 through February 4, from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
