RENEE MICHELE BIES FEBRUARY 28, 2024
Renee M. Bies, age 63, a resident of Waverly, Washington for the past 25 years, passed away at her home in Waverly from an apparent heart attack. Renee was born March 1, 1960 at Richland, Washington to James McDaniel and Janis Wilcox McDaniel. She grew up in the Waverly area and attended schools at Liberty High School. Renee worked at a print shop in Spokane several years. She later became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at Palouse Country Assisted Living in Fairfield for 10 years. She was currently working there at the time of her death.
Renee had married Glen ‘Mike’ Engelhardt in 1981 in Spokane, Washington and the couple later divorced. She later married Raymond Bies on June 14, 2003 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The couple made their home in Waverly in the home that she was raised in.
She was active with the Humane Society and the Scraps program in Spokane Valley, WA.
Renee loved her pets, enjoyed camping and snowmobiling.
Survivors include her husband Raymond Bies at the Waverly home; one son, James Engelhardt of Spokane, Washington, one daughter, Shelia Evans of Waverly, Washington, and 8 grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Diane Galler of Spokane, Washington and Doreen Fisher of Post Falls, Idaho. A sister Nikki Hartmyer preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held Monday, March 4, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Fairfield Community Church, 206 W. Hamilton Road, Fairfield, WA. Burial will follow at the Waverly Cemetery.
