March 22, 1951 ~ March 16, 2020 (age 68)


Roger A. Gamet, 68, a lifetime resident of Palouse, WA passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 at his Palouse, WA home.

Roger was born on March 22, 1951 at Lewiston, ID to Elmer and Ellen (Rasmussen) Gamet.  Roger attended the Palouse Schools graduating from the Palouse High School in 1970.

Roger joined the United States Army on Aug. 17, 1977 and was discharged on March 14, 1979 as a Sergeant. 

Roger was employed at the Potlatch Mill in Lewiston, ID for several years and later farmed and also worked for Chris Schultheis in the Colton, WA area until he retired in 2007.

He married Terri Sellers on June 2, 2016 at Moscow, ID and the couple made their home at Palouse, WA.  Roger and Terri have been together for 27 years before they were married.

Survivors include his wife Terry at the Palouse home, one son, Dustian Gamet, Palouse, WA, three daughters, Shanna Gamet, Pullman, WA, Carrie Doramus (Phil), Palouse, WA, Lacey Meissner, Las Vegas, NV, three step-daughters, Shelli Sellers, Bellingham, WA, Rebeca Smith (Brian), Spokane, WA, Catherine Ulrey (Darrin), Clarkston, WA, one brother, Ronnie Gamet, St. Maries, ID, two step-brothers, William Churchill, Puyallup, WA, and John Churchill.  Roger is also survived by 17 grandchildren: Kaynan Zachow,Gabriel Johnson, Ambrose Posey, Deven Doramus, Justace Smith, Jonah Smith, Issiac Smith, Schadoe Gamet, Kayla Burkinbine, Keiona Zachow, Piper Johnson, Emily Hahn, Savannah Johnson, Makayla Smith, Rachel Smith and 4 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Gamet, two sisters, Rosanna Gamet, Dorothy Churchill, one grandson, Steven Marshall, one granddaughter, Ashley McNeill.

A celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, 11:00 A.M. at 330 S. Ellis St., Palouse, WA with the United States Army Honor Guard participating.
