RUTH M. (LAWSON) DOWELL –CROMER                                                                                 JUNE 25, 2022

Ruth M. (Lawson) Dowell – Cromer, 95, a resident of Spokane Valley, WA passed away on June 25, 2022 at Orchard Crest Memory Care in Spokane Valley, WA.

Ruth was born on October 23, 1926 at the family farm near Tensed, ID to Guinther and Maude (Bovey) Lawson.  She attended her schooling at Tekoa, WA and later attended Spokane Falls Community College where she received her Associates of Arts degree in 1982.

She married Granville Dowell in 1944 and he died in 1999.  She married James Cromer in 2001 and Mr. Cromer died in 2016.

Ruth worked at the Crescent store in downtown Spokane as a sales clerk for several years.  She later worked out of her home as an interior designer for several years until she retired.

Ruth enjoyed the farming life, flowers, and interior decorating.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Jessie Daily, Gladys Williamson, Clark (Bud) Lawson, and Richard Lawson.

A memorial graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mountain View Cemetery with Pastor Patrick Lawson Evans officiating.  Burial preceded the service on July 5, 2022.

Memorial may be given to the Hospice of Spokane, 121 S. Author Street, Spokane, WA.  99202
