Steve Hassett (age 78) went home to be with our Lord on Monday February 22, 2021 T Sacred Heart Hospital where he had spent the last two months. He is gone from this earth but will always remain in our hearts.
Steve was born July 18, 1942 into a family of 13 to Lloyd & Alice Hassett in Helena, Montana.
He grew up, lived & worked on farms in Montana, where he met and married Cheryl Weeks. They had four children, Steve Jr, Sheila, Stacy, & Scott Hassett. They later divorced and Steve moved to Bellingham, WA. where he met & married Judy Hughes. They had four boys, Nathan, Paul, Ronald, and Michael Hassett. They moved to Blaine, WA. where Steve managed an Arabian horse ranch called Greenhill.
He later divorced and moved to Kennewick, Wa.where he started his own business "Red's Rockchip Repair". He met and married Jolene Rasmussen and had one child Pam Colvin.
After several heart attacks & heart issues they moved to Spokane, WA to be near the Heart Institute.
They made their home and worked together managing apartments for Cedar Property.
Steve loved traveling, horses, motorcycles, & dancing. He loved dancing! When Steve & Jolene hit the dance floor everyone else stood back and watched.
Steve had a winning smile that would melt your heart, and he could light up a room with his presence.
He is survived by his wife Jolene, at the family home, a sister Alonna Kester (Al) & brother Larry Mortimer in Ferndale, WA. A brother Norm Hassett (Marilyn) of Layton, Utah. 21 grandkids and 21 great grandkids.
Preceding him in death were his mother & father Lloyd & Alice Hassett, 4 sisters Betty Ann, Beatrice, Colleen, & Patricia, 6 brothers Ed, Ray, Charles, Howard, Jim & Dale And one son Scott Hassett
