William Arthur Dix, 79, passed away on Sept. 5, 2021 at the Whitman Medical Center in Colfax, WA.

Bill was born on March 15, 1942 at Bismarck, N. Dakota to Earl and Alice (Burtts) Dix.  Bill was raised in Spokane, WA and attended the Rogers High School and graduated from High School in 1960.

Bill joined the United States Army on Sept. 9, 1960 and re-enlisted three times and was discharged on July 15, 1966 and served in the Vietnam War.

He married Izola M. Egnor/Bragg in 1974 and the couple later divorced.

Bill worked as a security guard for many years until he retired.

He met Kathy M. Gabel in 1992 and the couple was together for 28 years until she died in 2017.

Bill enjoyed Fishing and camping.  He also walked bloomsday for 23 years with his grandchildren and family.

He is survived by his daughter Lynn Morehouse, Colfax, WA, 2 grandchildren, Izola Snyder and Izaiah Paul, three great grandchildren, Arielle Caufield, Sebastian Hunt, Everett Paul.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Corey Laughary officiating.  Military Honors by the United States Army and Potlatch Post #10300 participating.
