Mark W. Kramer is a second generation funeral director and
co-owner of Kramer Funeral Home with his brother, Robert. He has been actively involved in working at
the funeral home since the age of 16 when he was first licensed as an
apprentice, but also worked with his father long before that.
Mark was born and raised in Tekoa, Washington, graduating
high school in 1968. He served his
apprenticeship at Hazen & Jager Funeral Home in Spokane while attending
classes at Spokane Falls Community College.
After earning his prerequisite credits, he attended the San Francisco
College of Mortuary Science, graduating in 1972.
On December 1, 1972, Mark and his brother assumed management of the funeral home in Palouse, working under the direction of their father, Jack Kramer, who purchased the firm in 1969 from the Kimball family. The brothers assumed ownership of both funeral homes (Palouse & Tekoa) in 1989 when Jack & Marian Kramer “semi-retired”.
Mark served on Palouse's Planning and Zoning Commission for many years before being appointed to the city's Board of Adjustment where he currently serves as chairman.
Mark’s hobbies include bowling, fishing, hunting, camping
and working harvest for local farmers, driving combine and grain truck. He is married to Ami C. (Lemon) Kramer,
formerly of Colfax and he has two sons, Brandon and Daniel.

Robert C. Kramer is a second generation funeral director and
co-owner of Kramer Funeral Home with his brother, Mark. He has been actively involved in working at
the funeral home since a young age, working alongside his father.
Robert was born and raised in Tekoa, Washington, graduating
high school in 1969. He served his
apprenticeship at Hazen & Jager Funeral Home in Spokane while also
attending classes at Washington State University. After earning his prerequisite credits, he
attended the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science, graduating in 1972.

management of the funeral home in Palouse, working under the direction of their
father, Jack Kramer, who purchased the firm in 1969 from the Kimball
family. The brothers assumed ownership
of both funeral homes (Palouse & Tekoa) in 1989 when Jack & Marian
Kramer “semi-retired”. Robert moved to Tekoa in 2003 to assume day to day
management of the firm when his mother was unable to continue to do so.
Robert has been a civil servant to the community over the
years including serving one term on the Palouse City Council and as Mayor of
Palouse for 16 years. He also serves on
the Tekoa Ambulance Board.
Robert’s hobbies include golfing, hunting and taking road
trips. He is married to Pastor Kathy Lee
Kramer and they have three children, Adam, John & Matt, as well as several grandchildren.
